Anuja Sathe Left Peshwa Bajirao Because Of Her Husband Saurabh Gokhale!

Now, it is usual for actors to get replaced in TV shows but the reason why Anuja has stepped away is rather interesting.

After the leap, Karan Suchak will play the grown up Bajirao while Saurabh Gokhale will play Chimaji Appa.

Now, Saurabh Gokhale is Anuja’s husband and if she continued with the role, she would play mother to her own husband.

We spoke to Anuja Sathe and she revealed: “For me right now it's not an appropriate time to play mother of 25 year-old-son. And I was assigned to do the show till it took the time leap.”

When asked if she will miss shooting with her husband, Anuja replied: “I would miss shooting with him. But I definitely don’t want to play his mother. We have worked together earlier and we are looking forward to work together again. So no, there are no regrets. It's just that I am going to miss this set and the production people. Especially the kids.”

Anuja also mentioned that she is extremely happy that Rajeshwari is taking over her character. “I am a huge fan of her. She is a fabulous actor and I am sure she will do justice to the character.”

As of now, Rajeshwari is preparing for the role, which was played by Tanvi Azmi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. Rajeshwari will play a very important role as she will be mother-in-law to Kashibai and also a mentor to Peshwa Bajirao.
